Welcome to DriveFolio ("we", "our", or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our website and service located at drivefolio.in (the "Service").
By registering for an account or using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information to provide, maintain, and improve our services to you:
- Account Information: When you sign up using Google OAuth, we collect your name, email address, profile photo URL, and Google User ID.
- Portfolio Settings: We store details you provide to build your portfolio website, such as your professional name, WhatsApp number, social media links, custom bio, theme preferences, and portfolio layout configurations.
- Google Drive Integration Data: When you authorize DriveFolio to connect to your Google Drive, you grant us read-only access to browse and select folders. We retrieve metadata (file names, IDs, sizes, and folder hierarchies) and secure image URLs of the items within the selected folder to display them on your public portfolio page.
- Analytics: We gather basic, anonymous usage statistics on visitor views of your portfolio to display reports on your dashboard.
Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance
DriveFolio's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not transfer, sell, or disclose your Google user data to third-party advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To generate and host your public portfolio website.
- To sync and display the image files from your selected Google Drive folder in real time.
- To manage your account, billing subscription details (via Razorpay), and authentication.
- To enable clients to contact you directly via the WhatsApp booking button or enquiry forms.
- To send you important service updates, technical notifications, and support messages.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Public Portfolios: The images, portfolio text, bio, social links, and WhatsApp links you choose to display will be publicly visible to anyone who visits your unique portfolio URL.
- Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services (such as Supabase for database management and Razorpay for payment processing) to facilitate our services. These providers have access to your data only to perform tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
- Legal Obligations: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
5. Data Security & Storage
The security of your data is important to us. We implement industry-standard administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to secure your account information. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
Crucially, because DriveFolio reads photos directly from Google Drive dynamically, your high-resolution original image files remain safely stored within your own Google account and are not stored permanently on DriveFolio's database servers.
6. Data Retention & Account Deletion
We retain your account details and portfolio settings for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account or revoke DriveFolio's access to your Google Drive at any time:
- You can disconnect the Google Drive sync from your Dashboard under settings.
- You can revoke access to your Google Account completely via your Google Account Permissions page.
- You can delete your account and all associated profile settings from the settings panel inside the DriveFolio Dashboard. Once deleted, all portfolio settings are permanently purged from our database immediately.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
